Tech Metallers Release Heavy Climb Clip & Announce Tom Brumpton Has Left The Band

British tech metallers Akarusa Yami recently put together a clip for their new video ‘Heavy Climb’! Created by acclaimed videographer Andy Pilkington, the video for ‘Heavy Climb’ closely follows the message behind the track; despite our beginnings, we can achieve great things if we believe in ourselves and push onwards.

The band have also announced that frontman and co-founder Tom Brumpton will be parting ways with the band. Drummer Adam Jones had this to say on the announcement: “We’re sad to see Tom go, as we started this journey together five years ago and we’ve done some amazing stuff together in that time. That being said, we are in the process of training up a new vocalist and we’ll be making an announcement in early 2016. We have already begun work on new material, which we hope to share with all of you next year.

Brumpton has opted to step down due to other commitments, and had this to say on his recent departure: “I’m really proud of everything we as a band have achieved in the last five years. 2015 has been an excellent year for Akarusa Yami, having played some truly incredible festivals, shows and seeing the heart-warming support for “Heavy Climb”. I wish everyone the best of luck, and I’m sure the new material is going to sound great.

Formed in 2010 by Guitarist Tom Clarke (Insidious) and Vocalist Tom Brumpton, Nottingham noisinks Akarusa Yami have worked tirelessly since launching their debut EP “Ouroboros” to glowing reviews across the world in 2011. The band picked up solid coverage in Terrorizer (UK), Zero Tolerance (UK), Metal Hammer (Norway), Legacy (Germany) and many others. Their debut singles ‘Third Eye, Wide Open’ and ‘Millennium Is My Salvation’ were picked up for national airplay in 11 countries throughout Europe, alongside copious airplay on internet stations across the world.

The band went on to play a series of successful shows supporting Textures, The Ocean and Aliases. The band also played as part of Bloodstock Festival 2011. In late 2011 the band recorded ‘Life, The Venomous Way’ with prolific producer James Dunkley (Vallenfyre).

2012 saw the release of their second EP “Trace Element Rebirth”, which saw the band spreading their sound even further across the globe. Moving forward, the band busied themselves preparing their long awaited debut album “Heavy Climb”; a sprawling beast of a record that pulls together the finer elements of their first two efforts with a heap of new ideas. In early 2015, the band announced Guitarist Julia Goatly had joined the band. Akarusa Yami are presently writing new material for their fourth release, tentatively set for a late 2016 release.

Sat somewhere between classic Exodus, Pantera & GWAR; theatrically tinged British metallers Demons Of Old Metal have been making an unholy din across the UK for a while now. And if latest record “Dominion” is anything to go by, they’re just getting started!

Formed at the tail end of 2010 by four veterans of the UK metal circuit with the sole intention of cranking out classically tinged metal and engulfing venues in a sea of blood, sweat and beers. Coupling a cracking knack for writing quality songs, their penchant for schlock horror imagery and an otherworldly stage show, DOOM set about putting together their debut record; “The Demonic Chronicles Vol I”. Released on Halloween 2012, the response from fans and the media alike was overwhelmingly positive and saw the band begin making a name for themselves.

In 2013 the band released “The Demonic Chronicles Vol. II”; a further addition to their stunning repertoire. This was followed in 2014 by the final part of “The Demonic Chronicles Trilogy” which was greeted with critical acclaim in Europe and the U.S. They proceeded to hit the road and carve their mark viciously into the psyche of the British live scene; scoring slots at Beermageddon in the UK, as well as shows in Ireland.

Simultaneously, they began work on their new record “Dominion”. Set for release on December 7th 2015, “Dominion” stands as a huge leap forward, as the band have pushed their musical boundaries and created a work that will no doubt appeal to fans of both the new and old schools. Tracks like ‘You Version 2.0’, ‘Fakeskin’ and ‘Behind The Mask’ are groove laden gems on a record full of brilliance. Tall and short of it; you need Demons Of Old Metal in your life.

British Noisemongers Seep Away Announce Debut EP

Seepy Crew BW_RingMaster Review

Rising British agro mob Seep Away are to stream their brilliant new self-titled EP via Already Heard!

The stunning four track EP can be heard here – http://alreadyheard.com/post/134913945598/already-heard-ep-premiere-seep-away-seep-away

The record is set for release on December 11th, and can be picked up via SA’s Bandcamp page – https://seepaway.bandcamp.com.

The news comes off the back of the York/Manchester-based noise-punks debut single “Trudge”, which was released earlier this month. Sporting a fabulously unpolished sound, rife with angular vocals and coarse guitars; the band’s raw, punkish aura sits somewhere between prime Melvins and the more aggressive moments of Shining (NO) & Bongripper.

Guitarist Max Watt comments: “These songs come from the darkest places in our minds. They are our way of expressing our heaviest thoughts through really, really f***ing noisy tunes. Hopefully some people dig it, but we understand if they don’t because well… it’s all pretty damn abrasive, really.”

SEEP AWAY is: Jay Sillence (lead vocals), Max Watt (guitar, vocals), Dani Barge (bass) and Dom Smith (drums)

The band are set to release a full length album in early 2016.

“A Christmas Night” with Coco Star & Tor Marrock

A Christmas Night Artwork_RingMaster Review

British Chart Topper Coco Star has launched a brand new single  with Tor Marrock called “A Christmas Night”.

Prepare for 2015’s most unique Christmas track yet! British heavy metal vocalist Tor Marrock, of the eponymously named Welsh heavy metal band Tor Marrock, and chart topping British dance artist Coco Star have just released the beautiful and hypnotic “A Christmas Night”; a song of warmth, love & loneliness available via Black Vulture Records.

The single can be streamed here – https://soundcloud.com/downfall-black-vulture/tor-marrock-and-coco-star-a-christmas-night-single-2015/s-f2oAm

To the outsider this is a very unlikely pairing. The duo met in 2010 when Coco was looking for somewhere in Wales to record some vocals for a dance track she was working on. That studio was owned by none other than Tor Marrock.

The two quickly fired up a bond, and five years down the line, that friendship has turned into a collaboration. Tor was working on a Christmas song for a little while, and a friend suggested it may work better as a duet. A phone call later, and the two were reunited and hard at work.

Coco’s luscious vocals lay lovingly atop Tor’s beautiful arrangements, a union resonating with both hope and a hint of melancholy which is sure to warm the hearts of people across the world this holiday season.
