Post hardcore band Cold Summer have annouced the dates to their upcoming UK tour in support of their debut self-titled album released last year.
Cold Summer are fast becoming a critically acclaimed Rock/Post-Hardcore band, reaping the rewards for some fine releases which started with the self release of two EP’s, ‘Transitions’ and ‘Wake’ during 2012, before the Yorkshire band’s
release of their acclaimed debut album album in 2013.
To promote the release the band are heading out on a week long tour of the UK in February 2014. Building on a large and growing fan base across the North of England garnered as Cold Summer played sold out shows alongside well respected bands such as Funeral For A Friend(Distiller Records), Polar (In At The Deep End) Lemuria (Bridge Nine Records), End Of A Year/Self Defense Family (Deathwish Records), Margate (Cybertracks), Blitz Kids (Redbull), Scholars (Banquet), and Aficionado (No Sleep Records) since forming.
Now is the time for more of the country to catch one of the most promising Britsh bands live and with their still passions impressing album.

Voted as one of the top 5 albums of 2013 by various zines, "Life" first came to our attention last summer with the
previous label generating a very limited CD run that sold out - and sold out FAST. A recent cassette edition by
Ritual Tapes also flew off the shelves in a manner of days - and one of the big questions asked often to Mr.Kitty is
"Will we ever get another shot to get this on CD?"
Being "Can-do" people, our answer was a resounding "Yes". Not only have we agreed to re-release this modern classic
- we've gone one better and added TWO new tracks, both exclusive to this release.
"Hurt" is a brand new track - closing this chapter of Mr. Kitty's career. "Insects" - a firm album favourite, gets
remixed by our own Synthpop/ New Wave project "IIOIOIOII" - who tunes into the true essence of the song and gives it
a seriously dark, "Witchy" sound.
We think this final, deluxe, definitive version of "Life" will make all fans and supporters ecstatic - and there's
countless reasons why. Mr.Kitty is an act that deserves to be worldwide - and this is his time.
Life comes in 4-panel Digipak, released 28th March with all art, songs and concepts by Mr. Kitty. Remix and Mastering on Track
17 by Christopher Gurney.
Ralf Scheepers (Primal Fear, ex-Gamma Ray) made an appearance on DESERT’s upcoming album as guest vocalist.
A statement from DESERT over the link up says “Horns up, Warriors! Now we can officially confirm, that one of the special guests on our upcoming album will be the one and only – Mr. Ralf Scheepers ! The legendary voice of Primal Fear, Gamma Ray and Tyran’ Pace. Ralf kindly agreed to contribute his voice to one of the songs on our new record. We are still excited, that one of the best Metal singers in the world, who’s voice built our musical taste something like for 20 years, had sang one of the most killing and powerful songs we ever wrote !!! We have no patience to show you the results of this collaboration! Stay tuned for more breaking news \m/”
DESERT was founded in 2002 by guitarist Max Shafranski in one of Israel’s industrial and cultural centers, the city of Beer-Sheva. The band’s name was chosen for a reason – it was located in the middle of biblical sands where Moses has led his people to the Promised Land ages ago.
The forthcoming new album is the successor to the acclaimed Star Of Delusive Hopes which was released by Sleaszy Rider Records in 2011. For updates and news on the new release and live shows check out https://www.facebook.com/DesertOfficial regularly.
